4 Free HVAC Marketing Strategies to Get New Leads
The Most Effective HVAC Marketing Strategy to Increase Revenue and Get More Leads
As a business owner, you’re always looking for new ways to get more customers, especially when you know your “slow” season is approaching. You want to make sure your service technicians and installers are happy by keeping them busy all year long. Unfortunately, that may be a challenge if you don’t have an effective marketing strategy in place.
What if I told you that we have an effective HVAC marketing strategy for you? The best part? It’s free. Yeah, you read that right, FREE.
Like all things that are free it does take some time and practice but we’re here to break it down for you and make your life a bit easier.
If you own an HVAC company or any other business you know for a fact that Google is your best friend. If you haven’t listed your business on Google My Business yet I recommend you do that right now. I would definitely say it’s one of the most important online business listings and once again, it’s FREE.
Once you complete your business registration with all of the important information like: Business name, address, phone number, website and services you’re ready for the next step. Add photos and a brief description of that photo with keywords you know your potential customers will use to find your business.
Then, at the end of every service call you run, let your customers know you would love their feedback and text or email a link that will direct them to your Google reviews.
Another important online listing is Facebook. Some would also recommend Instagram, YouTube and even LinkedIn but I personally prefer to focus on Facebook for HVAC companies. With over 2.7 billion users, Facebook is where you want to be.
First, create a Facebook business page and enter your business name, address, phone number and website. Add photos, videos and fun posts about your business. You can also add an online booking button to your home page (millennials love this feature).
When was the last time you were in need of a roofer or electrician and you asked for recommendations on Facebook? That being said, join local groups and check their posts on a regular basis (daily if possible). Some people look for recommendations on Facebook when their A/C stops working so you want to make sure you reach out to them when this happens.
Another HVAC contractor favorite is Nextdoor. Many neighborhoods are listed in this app and a lot of potential customers in your neighborhood log on to look for recommendations when they need an HVAC contractor.
Sign up as a business and if your customers are happy with your service they’ll do all the hard work for you and recommend your company on Nextdoor. Oh, and guess what? It’s FREE.
#4 HVAC Blog
If you’re like me, the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “blog” is UGHH, BORING! (Ironically as I type this blog). But, having a consistent HVAC blog helps you stand out from your competition, boosts your SEO and builds trust with your potential customers. Add keywords to your blog, this will increase your chances of getting found online.
Think like a customer for a moment… If your A/C is leaking water, your first instinct is to go on Google and search for an answer. You’ll most likely type in “Why is my A/C leaking water?”. If someone is looking for the answer to this question it’s obviously because their A/C is leaking and they need an HVAC professional to diagnose the problem.
What happens when they find your blog answering this question? They’ll see how helpful it was and will call you to schedule a service call if they can’t resolve the issue on their own.
